The Indian real estate market is set to become a 1.25 trillion (US$ 19.65 billion) opportunity in the next few years. With SEBI giving its approval for the Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) platform, a larger number of investors now have the opportunity to invest in the Indian real estate market.

Private Equity and Venture Capital investments in the real estate sector have reached US$ 4.1 billion between Jan-Nov 2018. The Indian real estate sector is expected to reach a market size of US$ 1 trillion by the year 2030 which will contribute to 13% of the country's GDP.
